The Bridge is a new collaboration of music ensembles looking to shake things up a little in terms of how we can share the vibrant, surprising, thought-provoking, downright enjoyable art form that is classical music.
Founded by three of Europe’s leading string ensembles and a major music trust, we’re especially interested in music written for strings. This vast and deep repertoire is what we love, what we do best, what we want to champion, explore, transform, share and shout about.
In April 2022, we’ll present our first ever festival dedicated to string music, igniting Glasgow (UK) with glittering collaborations, large-scale concerts, late-night shindigs and more, scattered across the breadth of the city.

The Bridge Network was founded by three of Europe’s leading string ensembles - Ensemble Resonanz (Germany), Scottish Ensemble (UK) and Trondheim Soloists (Norway) - and a major European talent development organisation, the PLMF Music Trust (Estonia).
